About Frankfort Park Farm
PERSONAL TOUCH, POWERFUL RESULTS
Brendan and Olive Gallagher
FRANKFORT PARK FARM OWNERS
Brendan and Olive Gallagher are the first to admit there’s no secret formula for success in the horse business. Instead, it’s about relying on intuition guided by experience and standing by their convictions.

Born for the Horse Industry
Born into racing in Ireland, they launched Emerald Bloodstock in 1993, offering sales representation, shipping, and insurance services. Taking shares in horses in lieu of commission allowed them to steadily upgrade their own stock. Among their early purchases was Rahaam for IR£20,000, who became the dam of Cassandra Go, one of Thoroughbred breeding’s most influential broodmares.
From Ireland to the Bluegrass
In 2006, the Gallaghers and partners acquired 240 acres on Old Frankfort Pike in Lexington, Kentucky to use as a quarantine facility. After selling Emerald Bloodstock and buying out their partners in Frankfort Park Farm, Brendan and Olive relocated permanently to Lexington in 2010.
Eclipsing Expectations
THE STORY OF MONOMOY GIRL
The Gallaghers are co-breeders of Monomoy Girl, whose seven Grade 1 wins–including the Kentucky Oaks and two Breeders’ Cup Distaffs–yielded two Eclipse awards. Monomoy Girl was the second consecutive Oaks winner bearing the Gallaghers’ fingerprints; they had sourced the dam of the prior year’s winner, Abel Tasman, for breeder Clearsky Farms.

The Secret to Successful Thoroughbreds
“Horses have to be happy. If they're treated right, if they're looked after and loved, they know it. I will go in and rub every one of those mares in the foaling barn, because I believe that when they're calm, things go better.” - Brendan Gallagher, the TDN, August 2024.
Industry Success
THROUGH HARD WORK AND CARE
Hard work and attention to detail continue to yield results. In consecutive years Frankfort Park Farm bred, raised and sold the Grade 3-winning Canadian champion Cairo Consort and dual Grade 1-winning Carson’s Run. Shareholder was foaled, raised at and sold by Frankfort Park Farm and went on to win the 2024 G2 Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot.
